Ducks in Flight

Title: Ducks in Flight
Media: Oil on canvas
Signed: Lower Right
L C Earle '76
Size: 26" x 48"

                                     EARLE'S FLYING DUCKS
are conspicuous. This artist appears to be easily chief in subjects of this sort, but might it not be demanded in a picture of this size that the detail of plumage should be carried somewhat further? The drawing is careful and able, the general "quantities" and "values" of color well observed, but the painting of the feathers rapid and general. This depends, however, somewhat on where the picture is intended to be hung.
